Life THROUGH Loss™ is a fee-for-service practice. I cannot and do not participate with any insurance carriers. The services offered are not traditional psychotherapy therefore at this point in time you will not be able to submit charges for reimbursement. If deemed clinically necessary, I will refer you to and provide you with a list of traditional therapists to supplement or replace the work that we do.
Fee-for-Service vs. Insurance Reimbursement:
I facilitate your grief work from the standpoint that grief and loss IS your "diagnosis". Insurance companies require that some other clinical diagnosis of mental health status be given in order for reimbursement to be made. Insurance companies also determine how many sessions you do or do not qualify for regardless of your unique situation. Operating a fee-for service practice allows me the ability to offer the highest quality of grief recovery work tailored to your unique life experience. Additionally, your records are kept completely confidential without the necessity to include a third-party.

With over 30 years in existence, The Grief Recovery Method® has helped hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world truly recover from their loss experiences. The Grief Recovery Method® is NOT a passive process; it is in fact grief work. There is "homework" involved. The steps are simple, but they are not emotionally easy. The difference is... THEY WORK. You will receive a copy of The Grief Recovery Handbook as well as a journal for processing your feelings. The process is educational and experiential in nature so you will feel emotions you have tried to suppress for years. That is part of the work to becoming complete with your emotional losses. What you put into the process is what you get back exponentially.

One-on-One Grief Recovery Work: $80 p/h
(minimum of 7 sessions - maximum of 12 sessions) Sessions are a FULL 90 minutes in duration Sessions are usually once a week but can be twice a week depending on the nature of your unique situation Scheduling is flexible |
Group Grief Recovery Work: $40 p/h
(minimum of 2 people - maximum of 12 people) Sessions are a FULL 90 minutes in duration Sessions are once a week for 10 weeks or twice a week for 5 weeks |

Payment:
Life THROUGH Loss™ accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, checks, and cash.
Due to the nature of the work we are doing I do not accept pay per session. If you chose to work with me, you are committing to attending all necessary sessions in order to complete the process. Therefore, you are required to submit a deposit of 50% of the total fee at the first session. For individual sessions, the amount of sessions required will be determined during our phone consultation (90% of clients require no more than 7 sessions). The balance is due at the fourth session. If it is financially helpful to you, I will accept the balance in two installments (50% of the balance at the 4th session and the final payment due at the second to last session).
You may opt to pay the fee in full at your first session and receive $10 off the hourly rate (a savings of a minimum of $100)
Because I want to help as many people as I can recover from their losses, I have a few sliding scale slots for clients who are unable to afford my fees. My sliding scale is based on your annual income and proof is required to qualify. If you would like my sliding scale application, please let me know ahead of time and I will be happy to provide you with one.
